    DALLAS (BP) -- One year ago, Hurricane Harvey had yet to appear on radar. One year ago, very few people had heard of First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas.

    "A lot can happen in a year" was the theme of the North American Mission Board's (NAMB) 2018 Send Luncheon. Held during the SBC Pastors' Conference, NAMB aimed to bless pastors with stories of faith, hope and redemption -- and a dose of humor.

    The capacity-crowd event overflowed from the main room into a live simulcast location as NAMB President Kevin Ezell hosted the luncheon and turned the crowd's attention to everyday Southern Baptist pastors faithfully serving their congregations and communities. Read More

    PHOENIX (BP) -- A full-capacity audience gathered at the Phoenix Convention Center Monday (June 12) for a discussion about evangelism at the North American Mission Board's 2017 Send Luncheon which coincided with the Southern Baptist Convention Pastors' Conference.

    "NAMB exists to come alongside churches and help them be on mission," NAMB president Kevin Ezell told pastors. "The mission of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. To push back lostness in North America. To see that every man, woman, boy and girl can hear the Gospel. Everything we do is about evangelism.   • 'Every church can' urged at Send Luncheon

    ST. LOUIS (BP) -- A capacity audience of 3,000 at The Dome in St. Louis experienced the launch of Send Relief at the 2016 Send Luncheon on Monday, part of the Southern Baptist Convention Pastors' Conference.

    In keeping with the Send Relief theme -- bringing practical help with lasting hope -- the North American Mission Board (NAMB) presented Plymouth Baptist Church with a Send Relief trailer to augment the compassion ministry the church of 100 already accomplishes to reach the people of Plymouth, Ind. Pastor Clark Harless, his wife Raechelle and their daughter, Kennedy, joined NAMB president Kevin Ezell on stage. Ezell said Harless and his church epitomize what Send Relief can mean for a community. Read More
