  GRAND MOUND, Wash. (BP) -- Messengers to the Northwest Baptist Convention's annual meeting welcomed 19 churches into the network, adopted a $5,315,000 budget for 2020, approved a $140,000 Northwest Impact mission offering goal for 2020 and elected new board members.

  GRAND MOUND, Wash. (BP) -- Messengers to the Northwest Baptist Convention annual meeting Nov. 13-14 reelected three officers, passed a nearly $5.2 million budget for 2019 ministries, welcomed 13 congregations into affiliation and marked a new mission partnership with Texas Baptists.

  Participants highlighted this year's meeting theme -- "This is Our Day" -- in sermons, testimonies and presentations throughout the gathering, which drew 336 messengers and more than 50 registered guests to the Great Wolf Lodge in Grand Mound, Wash.   EUGENE, Ore. (BP) -- When Northwest Baptists from 15 churches organized formally as a convention in 1948, they embraced as part of their mission "blessing of the world." As messengers to the Northwest Baptist Convention's 70th annual meeting convened Nov. 7-8 in Eugene, Ore., the theme of "blessing" once again was prominent.

  "Northwest Baptists were placed by God in our communities as a blessing to the peoples where we live," said Randy Adams, NWBC executive director. "As we live the Gospel in righteousness and truth, as we walk in the way of the Lord, the Gospel message that we speak becomes clear and powerful to the watching world." Read More

  SPOKANE, Wash. (BP) -- Randy Adams, executive director of the Northwest Baptist Convention (NWBC), described the group's 2016 annual meeting as "a time of joyful celebration, meaningful fellowship, and heartfelt worship."

  Multiple stories of church revitalization, church planting and missions at home and abroad were heard with testimonies and reports about the Lords' work through Northwest Baptist churches in the NWBC coverage area of Oregon, Washington and northern Idaho.   VANCOUVER, Wash. (BP) -- Many Christians want to share their faith but miss opportunities by not actively listening or recognizing cues, evangelical trainer Margaret Slusher said in eight workshops across the Pacific Northwest this spring.
