    PHOENIX (BP) -- In what may be the Southern Baptist Convention Pastors' Conference's first public financial report, 2017 conference president Dave Miller noted expenditures of just over $400,000 for the Phoenix gathering plus an additional $100,000 provided by the Cooperative Program to help pay for meeting space.

    PHOENIX (BP) -- The Southern Baptist Convention Pastors' Conference has announced 30 additional recipients of $1,000 scholarships to attend the Pastors' Conference and SBC annual meeting this summer in Phoenix, bringing the total number of scholarships awarded to 60.

    Pastors' Conference leaders projected initially that 5-20 scholarships would be funded for pastors not otherwise able to make the trip to Phoenix. The first round of 30 scholarships was announced April 20. Read More

    PHOENIX (BP) -- The Southern Baptist Convention Pastors' Conference has announced it will provide $1,000 travel scholarships to pastors of "average-sized churches" who cannot otherwise afford to attend the Pastors' Conference and SBC annual meeting this summer in Phoenix.

    In keeping with the focus of this year's Pastors' Conference on pastors of small and midsized congregations, an estimated 5-20 scholarships will be available beginning April 10 on a "first-come basis," funded by donations from larger churches, the Pastors' Conference leadership team announced today (March 30) on the SBC Voices blog.
