    NASHVILLE (BP) -- Some churches across the U.S. and around the world are canceling near-future worship services and ministry activities as precautionary measures against COVID-19, but a temporary halt in church gatherings doesn't have to interrupt small group discipleship for families.

(BP) -- During a special service March 4 at First Baptist Church in Hendersonville, N.C., Danny Akin told attendees about new developments underway at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS) and addressed rumors of an alleged leftward shift in the school's doctrinal commitments.   • Ravi Zacharias announces cancer diagnosis

    ALPHARETTA, Ga. (BP) -- Ravi Zacharias, 73-year-old Christian apologist and evangelist, announced through Facebook that he has been diagnosed with a rare cancer called Sarcoma after doctors discovered a malignant tumor on his sacrum.

    In his post, Zacharias explained that the tumor was discovered when he underwent back surgery. Treatment for the tumor will not begin until Zacharias is fully recovered from back surgery. Speaking plans have been postponed until the summer. Read More
